Back in 1995 Barry Adams predicted that the Internet was ‘just a fad’ and ‘would amount to nothing’. He has come far since then. Starting out his career in the mid-’90s in all things online as an intranet content manager, Barry has worked in a wide variety of positions including corporate webmaster for multinationals, in-house SEO specialist for a large regional newspaper, web consultant for SMEs, and director at a leading Northern Irish digital agency.
Operating as Polemic Digital he delivers specialised SEO services to a wide range of clients across Europe. Barry also lectures on SEO for the University of Ulster, Queen’s University Belfast and the Digital Marketing Institute, and is a regular speaker at international SEO and digital marketing conferences.
Some of his hobbies and interests include science and philosophy, internet freedom and privacy, and playing ultra-violent videogames.
