Back in 1995 Barry Adams predicted that the Internet was ‘just a fad’ and ‘would amount to nothing’. He has come far since then. Starting out his career in the mid-’90s in all things online as an intranet content manager, Barry has worked in a wide variety of positions including corporate webmaster for multinationals, in-house SEO specialist for a large regional newspaper, and web consultant for SMEs.
As the Digital Services Director at Pierce Communications in Belfast he leads an expert team delivering web development and digital marketing services to a wide range of clients in the UK and Ireland. Barry also lectures on SEO and PPC for the University of Ulster and is a regular on the UK & Ireland digital marketing conference circuit.
Some of his hobbies and interests include science and philosophy, internet freedom and privacy, and playing ultra-violent videogames.
