Its October again, which means its time again to pack our bags and visit some conferences again. The months of October and November are two of the busiest months when it comes to conferences in Europe. With SES Chicago dominating the US Search conference scene in the next month there is still plenty of interesting stuff to find in Europe.
As you are used from State of Search we spent a lot of time at the conferences. We take pride in covering the conferences the best we can and to give you an insight into what is happening. Both if you are at the conference or if you not, our event pages inform you in the best possible way.
So whats going on in the coming months? Time for a little overview of where you can go and where we will be going off course. Off course there is more, but we’ll cover that soon!
Domains are still a very valuable resource on the web. Having a good domain can be worth a lot of money. But where ‘domain parking’ used to be the trend, the domain owners now are more and more looking for other ways to increase the value of their domains. One way of course being search. That is one of the topics discussed (with the keynote by me) in Prague this Wednesday.
This conference is much different from others in its set up. The conference takes two days, but only one day has (a few) sessions. The first morning will have a few plenary sessions, but after that its really time to network and learn through interaction with “Power Networking” sessions where you can meet The Experts 1-on-1. Day two has a remarkable agenda when attendees can choose between different excursions in which they can network and talk to experts. You can for example, join in a AK47 and M16 Shooting Contest or go Bobsled Racing. Pretty amazing.
When? Domainfest conference day is this Wednesday, October 6th, the ‘networking day’ is the 7th.
