Instant previews on mobile searches on Google

9 March 2011 BY

One of Google’s main goals is to do more when it comes to mobile. Not just by getting Android bigger and bigger and gathering data through mobile, also by improving the mobile experience in search.

Yesterday Google has made another step in improving that mobile experience by introducing Instant Previews on the mobile. We already know the Instant Previews from the web, but now you can navigate even faster on mobile also.

Google has added a preview button to the search results. With a swipe of your finger you can see snapshots of the pages. It actually turns more into a visual search than a preview search, since you get the first several pages available which you can scroll through before actually clicking them.

Google Instant Previews is available on mobile for Android (2.2+) and iOS (4.0+) in no less than 38 languages.
