Meet our 2011 Bloggers: Bastian Grimm
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes, 14 seconds
The end of the year is approaching rapidly so it is time to start counting down to the New Years. And I always like to do that in a special way. Because this blog is something special. Special because the authors of this blog are not only very smart people who write great content, but also very nice people who all have one thing in common: they have a specific drive and they are genuine.
I am highlighting all the bloggers on State of Search, simply because they deserve it. They are a very special bunch of people who deserve some attention. Now it is time for Bastian Grimm
What post are you are most proud of this year?
Top-10 SEO Firefox Plug-ins http://www.stateofdigital.com/top-10-seo-firefox-plug-ins/ – cause it’s just so much useful stuff in FF. and people tend to like it as much as I do.
What was your (personal or business, or both) highlight of 2011?
Personally I think my biggest achievement was losing about 30 kg in weight (= around 65 pounds) – feels quite good, I have to admit 😉 And: We started building a house (yay!) which will be done (hopefully) in March 2012. That’s gonna be awesome and we’re really looking forward to move in. Also, business wise I’m quite thankful how things went. Looking a growth and all those numbers – had an amazing year. So, no complains here.
What are you ‘wishing’ for 2012?
Most importantly – and that’s probably every year the same – health for the family, friends and myself. Besides of that: Just being able to keep doing what I love most: working in search. And from Google just some more honesty… some moves in 2011 were just covering up obviously fails. Putting SEO to the “bad table” kinda sucks.
A personal thought about Bastian
Bastian is the only ‘real’ German in our team, which makes that he sometimes has a different view on the market, simply because he has different experiences. That is very refreshing. On top of that Bastian is one of the leading German Search experts. He is widely regarded as an entity in German. Which makes me proud to have him on board!
It is always a big pleasure meeting up with Bastian at conferences. He doesn’t only know what he is talking about, he is a very social guy too. Always in for a good talk and always great to hang out with.
Bastian, all the best for 2012, I hope I can reach that 30 kilo’s you did in 2011. Let’s make 2012 rocking!
