The end of the year is approaching rapidly so it is time to start counting down to the New Years. And I always like to do that in a special way. Because this blog is something special. Special because the authors of this blog are not only very smart people who write great content, but also very nice people who all have one thing in common: they have a specific drive and they are genuine.
Our State of Search blogging team is very special. And that team deserves the attention, so we are giving them the attention they deserve. Today our attention goes to Claire Thompson.
What post are you are most proud of this year?
I only wrote two!
What was your (personal or business, or both) highlight of 2011?
Getting our first training session as SEO PR Training. The feedback was wonderful, and really encouraging. It’s opened my eyes to a really different community to the PR community I usually work with – and despite appearances/ assumptions, there’s a lot of very talented people who aren’t shouting about it, and really lovely, friendly people.
What are you ‘wishing’ for 2012?
My wish for 2012, barring World peace etc, is to be able to organize myself well enough to get more time to dedicate to the company. Nichola and I have great plans, but she doesn’t get as much time and attention as the company deserves. Fortunately she’s smart enough to work around me. And to dedicate more time to blogging – am I allowed two wishes?
If you look at Nichola and then look at her business partner in crime Claire at first you won’t see the connection if you haven’t met both of them. Once you have, you immediately understand there is something special going on at the Mediaflow offices. Claire is witty, fun, kind and extremely talented all at the same time.
Claire has the PR look on all the things we do. She says she’s no SEO Expert, but I want to bet she knows more than many people just starting out in the industry. That PR and SEO knowledge combined is pure gold. And that is what she brings to the table.
Claire, best wishes for you also off course, I hope 2012 will be as successful as the past year and that we’ll see a lot of your great stuff!
