The end of the year is approaching rapidly so it is time to start counting down to the New Years. And I always like to do that in a special way. Because this blog is something special. Special because the authors of this blog are not only very smart people who write great content, but also very nice people who all have one thing in common: they have a specific drive and they are genuine.
All the bloggers deserve some attention and that is what they are getting going up to the New Year. Now it is time for Jeroen van Eck.
Questions
I asked Jeroen the same questions as I did the others:
What post are you are most proud of this year?
In doubt between: Two ways of using Google Images for product keyword research and How we got our rankings back with mainly technical changes. The first because it was a tactic I hadn’t seen before and I think it added an extra way of doing keyword research that can by used by many SEOs. The second because it proved that technical SEO is important and it was kind of a victory for ourselves. I’m going with the first because of the contribution to the community.
What was your (personal or business, or both) highlight of 2011?
Although I love my job, my highlight of the year was without a doubt my trip on the Trans Mongolian Express, traveling for 4 weeks from Beijing to Moscow. To get inspired, you can check our photos on Google Plus (Yes, really!): https://plus.google.com/photos/101483079400768541145/albums/5664795796627718129
What are you ‘wishing’ for 2012?
A year full of inspiring projects (it’s looking good) and to make a next step with our company and personally within online marketing.
A personal thought about Jeroen
Much like with Barry I have seen Jeroen grow in the past year and a half. He is without a doubt one of the big talents in the Dutch Search Industry heading towards being one of the top Dutch SEOs. And seeing him grow like this makes me proud.
Jeroen is a very nice guy and also has a sharp eye for developments. He can figure out what might happen and keeps a close eye on the latest developments in for example the US, which gives him a headstart towards others sometimes.
Jeroen, keep growing in 2012 and go international, I think you can! It is really great to have you on board and I am a fan of your writings, so keep it up!
