Searchmetrics Dashboard To Give You Quick Insights in Search Visibility

9th February 2012

The world of tools is going like crazy at the moment. And for a reason. Tools after all can give you insights which can help you build your brand or product. Our good friend Andy Betts wrote a great piece on that yesterday over at Searchenginewatch.

Searchmetrics is one of the tools which has been popping up everywhere in the past year. Searchmetrics today announces a new feature. They are launching an online dashboard for its Searchmetrics Essentials software with complimentary search and social metrics to anyone. Without an account you can now get information on organic and paid search visibility and visibility on Social Networks.

Searchmetrics is launching the new dashboard today. You can find it here. The dashboard works pretty simple. Just type in the url and Searchmetrics will dig in their database to see what they can give you on information on that specific domain.

You are getting quite a lot of information, part of it is ‘closed’ as a teaser for the account (“upgrade to view”) but you still get enough information.

You can for example see how you rank in comparison with other UK sites for SEO and paid visibility. This is calculated through an algorithm developed by Searchmetrics in which they “analyse the search results for millions of keywords on Google every month, monitoring where specific domains rank in searches.”

Marcus Tober, Searchmetrics’ CTO and founder and speaker at the next SES, is excited about the new feature:

“Now anyone can enter the URL of almost any web site into the new Searchmetrics Essentials dashboard to get an at-a-glance snapshot of the search and social success of the site. How does it rank against other sites in terms of organic and paid search? What are some of the top keywords it ranks highly for and who does it compete with in search? It even provides measurements for how often a site’s pages are liked, tweeted and shared etc on top social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+. If the site you are interested in is one of over 75 million domains we monitor in 15 countries, then our dashboard will show you some valuable insights.”

Go and have a play and let us know what you think!
