You may have noticed that this year we are doing something very special this summer: a summer series dedicated to the ‘new recruits’ in the industry!
As we said in our launching post: At State of Digital we believe in several things: we believe in education, we believe in a community that makes each other better marketers and we believe that the younger, less experienced in the industry are hugely important.
Therefor we want to give them a ‘stage’ where they can show themselves. In the upcoming months you will see different posts appear from the young industry experts. And at the end of the summer, on September 17th to be exact, we will be announcing winners as well!
Winners you say? Yes, there is something ‘in it’ for the youngsters, they might win:
- a regular position as blogger on State of Digital
- “something” from Amazon
- and some other nice surprises…
But who will win?
To determine who will win we will be looking at different elements of the articles: the articles will be judged on:
- originality
- writing style
- content
- overall likeability of the post
- shareability of the articles
And who will decide?
There are two ways in which we will decide what the best post is. First there is our judging team! We have asked some big name industry experts to read the articles and judge them. The judging team is partly from outside and partly from inside the State of Digital blogging team. Who you say? Well take a look:

You can also help decide which post is best. We will look at the number of shares as well, but be aware: we will calculate an average number, based on the number of days a post will be live. After all, not all the articles are published at the same time! So make sure you share when you like an article, it might make your favorite youngster win!
