The Google Panda update has kept us busy as no other update has before. It even was the subject of the session “Content Farms’ Or The Smartest SEOs In the World?” at SMX West a few weeks ago. This session now is available online. Enjoy the discussion!

  • Panda Fail

After a month of this, the buzz about this update is that so far, it’s been a huge huge FAIL. Scrapers outrank original sources. Autoblogs, splogs, MFAs are everywhere and winning the game. Legitimate website owners of authority sites are disappearing, big brands and small unknown sites are promoted. Irrelevant traffic, foreign traffic, poor targeted traffic is being sent to sites. What a mess Google. Never have I seen it worse than it is now.

Nice job, you found it!

Now, go try out the 12th one:

Use Google Translate to bypass a paywall...

Ran into a page you can't read because it is blocked or paywalled? Here's a quick trick (doesn't always work, but often does!):

Type the page into Google translate (replace the example with the page you want):

http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://example.com/

How about that!?

Like this 12th trick? Tell others they need to look for this trick on our page: http://www.stateofdigital.com/search-hacks-marketers/
