Meet Our 2011 Bloggers: Louis Venter

The end of the year is approaching rapidly so it is time to start counting down to the New Years. And I always like to do that in a special way. Because this blog is something special. Special because the authors of this blog are not only very smart people who write great content, but also very nice people who all have one thing in common: they have a specific drive and they are genuine.

Ever since the start we have had some great bloggers on our team who deserve some of the spotlight. So we are giving them that stage! The stage now is for Louis Venter.

What post are you are most proud of this year?
Probably this one cause I’ve seen some horror stories and hopefully it helps a few people manage the jump to new tech

8 Development Mistakes to avoid when migrating a website

What was your (personal or business, or both) highlight of 2011?
My highlight of 2011 was to see MediaVision kick past the goals and exceed them for the second year running. Also having an average client retention of 28 months means were walking the walk for our clients in an industry full of talk :).

What are you ‘wishing’ for 2012?
More time for reading and blogging! 2011 was really intense so with a few new faces in 2012 it will help on that front. Watch this space!

A personal thought about Louis

Louis has been with us from the start and he has been one of the most loyal bloggers. A smart guy who runs his business in a very professional way, but also an in-and-in good guy. I would trust my kids with Louis, that is how much I trust him.

Louis sometimes needs some confidence with his postings, he always says his postings are rubbish before he sends them in, they never are. So when you see him, tell him how much you like his postings will you :).

Louis, mate, State of Search wouldn’t be the same without you so I hope you will stick around for a while! I wish you and your family all the best in 2012 and I am looking forward to some day doing a proper ‘braai’ with you :). Oh, and change that profile picture mate ;).
